Lives and makes art in Pine Mountain, GA
I have always been fascinated with glass. It started in my childhood as my grandmother put flowers in her beautiful, cut-glass crystal vases. Then in my early twenties, I took a stained glass course. For the next twenty years I took a hiatus due to work & family. Then in 2020, when I was strolling through Savannah, I came upon Mosaic Art. It captivated me.
Eventually, my children gave me a mosaic kit to make coasters. From then on I’ve become an addict. For some unexplainable reason I have become passionate about stained glass mosaic. I am self trained, but hope to one day take a formal course. I find mosaic more versatile & detailed than stained glass, because it does not need a window to capture the beauty of the colors.
Because of this medium, I prefer making large pieces that I consider statements of the beauty of color.
